Turn over a new leaf

Assalamualaikum. Today is the 1st of May and its a start of a new month, a new chapter, a new beginning. In Malaysia, the 1st of May is a public holiday because its 'Hari Pekerja' or you could put it like 'Employees Day'.

Today, one of my closest friend, a gem, turned 18. She was startled, surprised, flabbergasted and dumbfounded by my present. hahaha

I gave her this book written by Hlovate called VERSUS. There's one word I to describe the book after I've read it and that is- WOW. Hehehe. That might be a bit over too exagerated. =D

InshaAllah by Allah's grace, I'm gonna revive and begin anew. My post will be labelled by 3 labels-
  1. My Story [mostly about what i feel, my experiences and such...]
  2. Seerah Tales [compilation of seerah from the time of the prophet and his companions or old stories of the old folks in the Quran or Hadith]
  3. One Love [motivation/inspiration/random things]
This will be my 1st post for My Story.

Turn over a new leaf.

Turn over a new leaf is an idiom that means starting new. It is not a 360 degree turn coz if you do that, you start back from where you left, Its more of a 180 degree turn because you are at the position opposits of where you start.

As today is the beginning of a new month so I thought, why not make a different ey? You see, people look back at the past and see it as something that will never be replayed or changed. The past was where we were and what build us to become who we are now and we like being in the past. Right??

Some people feels changing is wrong because you suddenly have to do things you never or hardly ever done, eat differently, talk different, live differently. Some people feels changing will change the whole you from the tip of the forehead to the toe nails. Some people feels changing will change everything.

Well actually, changing is not a crime. It is not a crime when you change for the better. It is a crime though when you change for the worst. So why turn over a new leaf? Because by turning it over, you will realise that life can be a lot more easier, happier place to be in. When you change for the better, live is actually changing for you.

Maybe last month I woke up at 7 and prayed at 7.05 then sleep back and woke up at 8.00.
Or maybe, I prayed half an hour before the next azan, I read a page of the Quran or I spent 3 hours 'fb'ing. Try this month to woke up at 6.30 and prayed at 6.35, or I pray half an hour after azan, I read 2 pages of the quran and spent 2 hours 'fb'ing.

Setting small goals for the future to improve oneself is better than actually setting BIG goals and only last for a week. The big mountain start with a small step! Walk slowly, turn slowly. Soon, when you didnt even realise it, the leaf will be half turned.

HOWEVER, nobody said Turning Over A New Leaf is an easy work like typing this post. It needs DETERMINATION.. and a really big one, PATIENCE... and a really deep one and ofcourse PERSEVERANCE.. coz it ain't gonna be easy.

When there's a will, there is a way!

So to summarize my 1st MY STORY, I'll just point out the points.. hahaha the words are sooo funny.

  • Changing is not a crime, but changing for the worst is.
  • Set a goal, a small one and then build it up, higher and higher
  • Have determination in what you are changing for.. for the BETTER
  • Have patience in swimming through the ocean... coz life is full of waves
  • Have perseverance in staying alive.. so you can feel the sweetness of the sun, when the leaf is turned over.
Keep Moving Forward!
Remember You can Make A Difference!!!

NEVER look down on people

Assalamualaikum. It has been a long time since I updated my blog and I'm sorry for any inconvenience and dissapointment.

Tonight, I want to share a story during the time of Luqman Al-Hakim. He was a knowledgeable man who lived in the past way before prophet Muhammad SAW. He gives wise words and some could call it words of wisdom to him child. Even though it was given to his child, the advices were also applies to Luqman Al Hakim's students.

One day, Luqman Al Hakim was riding on his donkey while his son was walking behind. He heard the people around him saying 'look at that man, how wicked is the man. He is riding the animal while letting his child walk behind him.'

After hearing that statement, Luqman Al Hakim exchange his place with his son. So while his son was riding the donkey, he was walking behind. As they past the people, he heard a comment 'look at that child! How rude of him to be riding the donkey while letting his old father walking behind.'

Hearing this comment, Luqman Al Hakim climbed up the donkey and rode together with his son. So then they past a few stands and again he heard someone saying 'how cruel are they, 2 people riding on the donkey. That'll make it overloaded and too heavy to carry around.'

Luqman Al Hakim then climbed down the donkey with his son. They then walked together while tagging the donkey behind. After a while, he heard a comment, 'look at them, how stupid are they? They have a donkey but neither rode it. It is better not to have the animal.'

Returning from the journey, Luqman Al Hakim stop his son and give him this advice-

'My son, make sure you find halal prosperity so that you will never become Kafir. Because being a kafir meaning that you will have 3 things. Those are - slim believes, shallow mind and low dignity of the heart... And people who are worser than them are those who look down on people and deteriorate others.'

These phrase shows that people who look down on other people are worser than the kuffar.

If I give up, than who am I?

Bismillah.

In The Name Of Allah who gave me the strentgh, the will and the courage to fight on. Alhamdulillah, I have passed and still going through the most crucial moments of my life yet. A week ago, my results came out and though to say I am not the best, the results that was meant for me was what I have to bear.

The week that just passed was the most unbearable week in my history of hardship. I have to face a painful reality that at times I feel life is so unfair. Alhamdulillah, I am not alone in going this test. Allah has grant me parents and friends that are very understanding and supportive.

To tell the truth, I was shocked when I read my results. It is the most unexpected for people like me. People were congratulating and wishing best but all I felt at that time, was pure sadness and deep pain. The pain grew deeper inside my heart when I realised what I dreamt of is now impossible if not very hard to archieved.

My results disqualifies me to further studies overseas and to take on medical course. It is however a possibility to still become a doctor but the path becomes more difficult and challenging. Do you know how it felt to take in all this facts?

After alot of crying, weeping and regretting, I finally be able to stand up and live forward on Monday the 28th. I took 5 days to regain my confidence and strength but still, even now, the pain and hurt has left a scar deep inside me. At times I still feel at lost and weak.

One of the sentence that livens my spirit is from a verse from the Quran - '..Don't you give up, verily the are no give ups aside from the kafirun..'

If I give up, than who am I?

That's all I can share for now. I seek for your prayers and advices. May Allah keep our spirits alive. May Allah grant us happiness in the world and the hereafter. ^^

A sharing... Love Him

I was amongst the listener of a talk the other day. It just moved my heart. It felt like warmth and pleasure. I was with quiet a few sisters and we heard a beautiful talk about 'Buiding the Souls'.

Since I am trying to survive through this long long holiday, this talk is just right for me. Alhamdulillah. All praise and thanks goes to Allah. ^^

'People who live in Allah's light are successful people.'

'Victory is in the hand of the muslims.’

These two quick phrases were the start of talk. We have to rule ourselves by what Allah has set out for us. Victories are for those who take Islam as a whole.

With Him, there is no such thing as less. We have to know Allah by heart and soul. His blessings to us; our eyes, ears and heart that pumps works every second without failing. The years we have lived is given to Him.

Allah’s affection for us can give strength. When we love Him much, we can feel Him all the time. Any journey along side Allah is precious. The companion of Rasulullah SAW Saidina Abu Bakr said ‘We are those who were given iman before we were given islam’. The companions were extraordinary people, the Quran generation, those whose journey is with Allah and for Him.

Brothers and sisters, we have to return to our aim of life and that is Allah swt. There is no other path to take that will bring us pleasure and victory apart from the path of Islam.

There’s a death story that has a very deep meaning. When prophet Musa as was nearing his death, Malaikat Maut came to take his soul. Prophet Musa as got angry and drive him away. The malaikat went back to Allah and said that Musa gotten angry and would not let his soul be taken. Do you know what Allah replied? He said ‘Tell him, wouldn’t he want to meet his love who is so long to meet him?’

When Malaikat maut returns to Musa saying that, Musa realises his mistake and command him to take his soul at the very moment because he cannot wait to meet his love. How can he do that? One minute, he doesn’t want to die, and the other, he wants to die straight away…? That’s because he loves Allah and as someone who love someone, surely he will do what the person love.

So what Allah likes, that is what we should like. This take process that is called ‘Tazkiyatun Nafs’ which means cleaning the soul. Umar Al Khattab think much of himself before he became a muslim and after he became a muslim. He still thinks he is more important and love himself more when Rasulullah said that he should love him more that himself. So Umar went back and started thinking about it. Soon after, he felt by his heart, that he love Rasulullah more than himself. The things take time. Good things take time but they’ll soon get it right.

Rasulullah waits on the day of judgement for his people. You know how? One of the characteristic that lets him know who his ummah is, is a flawless wudhu’. The parts of the body with the wudhu’ will shine, he’ll know then, that the person is amongst his ummah.

So in conclusion, I can conclude that

1. to love Allah is a strength

2. we will get strength by loving Allah

3. love Rasulullah, means love Allah.

I’m really sorry for any misunderstandings or complicated words. I just basically translate the malay talk to an English one in writing. Please guide me if I am mistaken in any part. May Allah bless us all.

Keep Moving Forward!

Valentines is big NO NO

Assalamualaikum and greetings to all.

I believed today is the 14th of February and its the date that many non-muslims celebrated. Many celebrated VALENTINE'S DAY today. But my friends, we as muslims CANNOT and MUST NOT celebrate it. Let us go back to history...

The Catholic's Encyclopedia have 3 versions of what is behind Valentine. The most famous off all is about a Priest name St Valentine who live in the end of the 3rd century at the time of the Roman King Claudius II. It was told that on the 14th February 270ac [after christ], Claudius II sentenced the priest to death for opposing a few of his commandments. He sees that Claudius II is preaching towards Christianity. At this time the Romans are Romans, not christians.

In the second version, Claudius II sees that bachelors are more strong-minded to go to war than those who are married. So, he gave out an order to forbid marriages. But St Valentine disagreed with this and continues to wed couples secretly in the church. When the truth was revealed, St Valentine was sent to prison where he met the daughter of the prisoner's guard who is sickly ill. He cured the girl and fell in love with her. Before Valentine was hanged, he sent the girl a card saying 'from a sincere love, Valentine'.

The third version is simply a remembrance of this priest named St Valentine. In a valley, it
is found to be interesting to some priest whereby the bachelors wrote the names of the girls in the valley and put it in a box. Then, each one take out a paper and the girl on the paper will be his love for the year. To broke the news, the guys will sent out cards written 'In the Name of The Mother God, I send this card to you.' The priest found it hard to break the Romans' custom. So they changed the saying 'In The Name of St Valentine, I send this card to you' so the people will be tied to christianity.

So from all of these 3 versions of the history, we can see clearly that Valentines Day is a religious celebration where it is celebrated amongst the christians in the past and now in the present. For muslims, it is not the celebration for us!

Rasulullah saw [Peace Be Upon Him] said: 'whoever imitates a people is one of them.'

Wallahu'am.

Egypts in Prayer

Egypt under smokes

Assalamualaikum to all. Its been 3 days since the riot broke out in Cairo, Egypt. I've got some pictures from other websites and it just touched my heart.
For more pictures check out -

The crowds with tear gas.
I was actually wondering 'how could a leader sacrifices his people to maintain his power?' when I saw this picture. Then again, after some thinking I thought- this is what you call the End Era.

Egypt flag.

2nd Faris Audah?
This picture reminded me of the 10 year old syuhada' in Palestine who became an image of bravery, courage and jihad! I guess, this is the 2nd one..?

What will be the end?

May Allah helps our brothers and sisters there. May Allah give them the power and strength to keep standing up and be strong. May Allah protect them from harm.

May Allah gives hidayah from this event to those who He wishes and those who searches the true light. May Allah guide all humanities to the right path. May Allah bring victory to ISLAM.

May Allah open our eyes and hearts to see the bigger picture.

^^
